ROCK FISH ALMONDINE!

....  Ok let's try again, here's a little ditty to put some food on your table.

Take the following

Parsley   ... Fresh parsley, grow it.
Rock Fish .. (Walmart) or... hit the shore and rock up some Rock fish, get em.. I'd use a Rooster Tail , flip it and roll it by the shore.
Almonds, slivered, definitely wal-mart.

Where we at?



Lemon, Asparagus, Butternut squash (AKA the squash that refuses to be peeled or chopped without brute force)!

ok so first thing, butternut squished so not cube and drop in a Ziploc, then eight drops of water plus three minutes of microwave torture.  That's why the pic looks a little crazy.

Now more fun.



Let's rock the olive oil based pan with some butternut squash cubes and throw in some chopped fresh asparagus kicked off with some fresh lemon slices.  Oh yeah baby, now we're "COOKING"!

Fish and Almondine time!



OH , HI HO baby!!!!!

sok, almondine is as follows,
1/2 butter
1/2 almonds
1/2 lemon (juice only)
1/2 cup fresh parsley (coarse chop)

Now you put it together!!!!!

The recipe game

The Recipe Game:  CREAMY CHICKEN CLUB SOUP!

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?



RULES:  SIMPLE... HELP ME.. HELP YOU, ...? HRMM.. HELP ME!  YEAH THAT'S IT.

ONCE A WEEK WE PLAY THIS GAME, THE WINNER GETS THE FINAL RECIPE.

So... and by that I mean I'm pulling this rabbit out of my hat.  I have an idea for a new recipe to serve at the current location I'm at.  So I'm going to tell you about it, Leave a big question mark where the recipe and soon to come pictures should be and listen to you.  I'll make it, gather the feedback and post the final result.  The winner will receive the final recipe and any help with fine tuning they might desire.

We all need to remember that this is a site to broaden everyone's horizons and... HOPEFULLY!  Have absolutely amazing end results.

So first we start off with "the list" (WIVAMP for future reference).

1.  W?  What is it you want to make?
   
Answer:   I want to make an epic soup and.... call it "CREAMY CHICKEN CLUB SOUP".

2.  I?  What are the Ingredients?

     Enter your ideas?  we want to hear them!!!!  That's why we're all sitting here with out minds on                                         hyper-speed.  Make Up your Mind dam-nit, pretend your on chopped and you
                                   just got given anchovies, kale, soy milk, black licorice and lemons and have to
                                   make a freaking dessert out of it!  See life can always get worse. 


3.  VAM?  Volumes and Measures of each of those incredible ingredients in this recipe of your                              dreams?  "telling you, first lesson for free.  You can always remove salt but good damned                    luck removing it.... *sighs*  That was a hard lesson".  OK at this                                                            point you got this... right???  How much Salt?, How much chicken, what's a                                          quart to a cup and a cup to a quart and tsp to TBSP and a ... damn... lost my                                          train of thought already so good luck with that.

4.  P?         Procedure, how to you go about achieving the Ultimate Soup?
   
                  "You tell me"?  Why else did you think I asked?

I cannot wait to make this and I know my fellow lovers of the culinary arts are just itching to try this themselves.

2020 Chefs actually up!

Ok if you don't know me check out The Blevins Kitchen

I'm Chef Jason and even though I might not have the degree I'm top notch, I've applied to chopped numerous times but we're all considered home cooks right?

I'm now a "line cook" for IPFW in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Born, Raised and will more likely die in New Orleans.  I have tons of ideas, things that are so special to me.  New Year so I have my bartenders license but can't get a job doing it, after years of being a "good" stay at home dad I broke into the real industry.  You want to be a chef, bartender?  So do I!

"It's no cakewalk, so buckle your ass up and help me help you help me".
